Tesla Dynamic Power Management: What the Manual Establishes

Tesla’s Universal Wall Connector uses a separately sold, Tesla-approved meter to monitor available panel power. Charging slows as household use rises and speeds up as it falls. Tesla describes maximum charging rate while avoiding electrical upgrades; this product claim does not determine your home’s upgrade need. The reviewed section leaves configuration eligibility unresolved; do not transfer limits from another model. Tesla manual

Before authorization, put both proposals side by side. Copy the exact model and option label, any quoted output, each item included or excluded, stated assumptions, and the next unresolved assessment into separate columns. Mark missing information “unknown.” Ask each bidder to clarify the same fields in writing, identify what still needs assessment, who will resolve it, and what must be settled before work is authorized. Ask explicitly whether the required, separately sold Tesla-approved power meter is included.

Hypothetical example: Proposal A lists additional panel work as conditional; Proposal B includes it. The figures cannot be compared until the bidders state the same intended outcome and define included work, assumptions, unresolved checks, and the decision point. This comparison organizes proposals only; it does not determine what fits your home.
