PBS Rescan Notice? Check How You Receive the Station

For an affected PBS over-the-air station, PBS says a frequency-change notice may mean antenna viewers need a rescan. For that notice, it says cable or satellite viewers do not need this antenna rescan. This does not make the guidance a rule for every broadcaster or every missing-channel problem.

PBS describes a TV channel-setup or tuner-scan function and says menus vary; use the exact TV manual or manufacturer for model-specific directions. PBS Help, “How to Rescan your TV Antenna”

Keep the station and exact notice, viewing path, TV model, and menu or result together. If directions are unclear or the channel remains missing, ask the TV manufacturer to clarify for that model. A scan attempt alone does not prove reception or identify a failed antenna.
